About Me

Vanessa in the Studio recording the album, "Worship".
At the tender age of 4, Vanessa Robison started expanding her gift of song for many churches in Lima, Peru where she was born. As a little girl I loved belting out those praise songs, I remember feeling like God could really hear me, and it made me feel so close to him! Soon capturing the hearts of those who shared her passion for singing and praising God, she landed solos for conferences, youth events and conventions.
Following her 12th birthday Vanessa and her family moved to the United States where she continued to follow her passion for singing and worship. In addition, she contributed to a tribute to Selena on Rulli Rendo’s album that was released in 1995 in South and Central America.
After participating in an international star search competition in 1997, Vanessa had her first international televised debut on the hit television show “Sabado Gigante”.
Soon after, she felt a strong conviction that her talents and gifts came from the Lord and were to be dedicated and cultured for the Lord Jesus Christ.
“Shortly after the competition, I really started to rethink and pray about my purpose in life. I knew that God had better plans for me, plans for a hope and a future and His plans were going to be different than mine! The Lord started to shape my life teaching me to focus more on the lost, and helping people connect, and experience God’s presence through worship.”
She became a member of the worship ministry at Church of The Redeemer in Gaithersburg MD. While there, she recorded a solo on international artist Jorge Suarez’s worship album “Just To Think Of You”. As a group member of a youth band, she also performed and led worship for major national youth events DC/LA, Youth For Christ, and Youth Alive conventions. As she watched thousands of kids changing their lives and coming to Christ, she knew this was her calling.
Continuing her ministry she had the opportunity to lead worship for seven years at Frederick Christian Fellowship Church. This is where she was inspired to record her first worship album “Vanessa Robison Worship.”
Psalm 51: 10-13
“Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me from your presence or take your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me. Then I will teach transgressors your ways, and sinners will turn back to you.”
“This passage has been in my heart from the moment we started this worship album, and it will continue to minister to me as a life changing inspiration. With fresh and colorful worship arrangements, my hope and prayer is that this album will reach many hearts to turn towards the love and grace of Jesus. While writing the song ‘My All’ for this project, my heart’s desire was that I, and those that hear it would be humbled to lay it all down at his feet. That we may truly worship him always in spirit and in truth, without limits!”
Recently, Vanessa has been privileged to sing at Frederick Church Of The Brethren, and Covenant Life Church International. Vanessa, her husband, and their two little boys welcomed their new baby girl to their family this past June! Vanessa has recently joined in with the worship team at Damascus Road Community Church. where her and her family currently attend.
“As I begin this new season of my life, I am so excited and hope to be ready to take on what God has in store for me. I pray I don’t get in His way while I follow my motto ‘Here I am Lord, send me’”
